Who we are

This is the website for the artist Libë.

What personal data we collect and why

Mailing list

If you join our mailing list, we collect your email address (and your name, if you provide it). We use this only to send you news and updates about Libë, new music, shows, and announcements.

  • Lawful basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • How to unsubscribe: every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
  • How long we keep it: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details, or if the mailing list is closed down.

Our mailing list is managed by EmailOctopus (Three Hearts Digital Ltd, a UK company), who store and process subscriber details on our behalf. You can read their privacy policy at https://emailoctopus.com/legal/privacy.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our hosting provider (UKHost4U) automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. We keep server logs only as long as needed for security purposes, after which they are automatically deleted.

  • Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

Analytics

We use Matomo, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand how the site is used, for example, how many people visit and which pages are most popular. Our Matomo runs on our own server: the data it collects never leaves this website and is not shared with Matomo the company, Google, or anyone else.

Matomo is configured in its most privacy-protective mode:

  • it does not set any cookies or store anything on your device;
  • your IP address is anonymised (truncated) before it is stored, so it cannot identify you;
  • it respects your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting, if that is enabled, you are not counted at all;
  • raw visit data is automatically deleted after 12 months; aggregated statistics that do not identify anyone (such as total visits per month) are kept indefinitely.
  • Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. Because no cookies are set and the data is anonymised and kept on our own server, this processing has minimal impact on your privacy.

What we don’t collect

We do not use advertising trackers, and there is no contact form on this site. We do not sell or share your personal data with anyone for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

EmailOctopus: processes mailing list sign-ups on our behalf (see above).

External links: the site links to services such as Spotify, Instagram, ticket sellers, and venue websites. Once you leave this site, those services’ own privacy policies apply.

Cookies

This site does not use cookies for advertising or analytics.

  • Our analytics tool (Matomo, see above) is configured not to use cookies.
  • WordPress may set a small number of strictly necessary cookies, for example to remember that the site administrator is logged in. Ordinary visitors browsing the site are not tracked.
  • The embedded EmailOctopus sign-up form may use strictly necessary, functional storage to make the form work (for example, to remember that you have already signed up).

Because these are limited to what is strictly necessary for the site to function, no cookie consent banner is currently required. If we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct it if it is inaccurate;
  • have it deleted (“right to be forgotten”);
  • withdraw consent at any time (e.g. by unsubscribing);
  • object to or restrict our processing of your data;
  • receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles personal data (for example, adding analytics or a contact form), we will update this page and change the date at the top.
